Our approach to children’s fillings
We aim to make treatment as comfortable and positive as possible while helping children understand what is happening.
We will:
- Assess the extent of the decay
- Explain the treatment to parents and children in an age-appropriate way
- Discuss available treatment options
- Restore the tooth where appropriate
- Provide advice to help prevent further decay
Fillings are among the basic dental services that can be covered under the CDBS for eligible children, subject to the program’s requirements and available benefits. (Health, Disability and Ageing AUS)
